Mechanical Assembly $11.

  • Layout and construct various product assemblies to blueprints or specifications, using tools and equipment such as:
  • Hand tools such as pneumatic ergo pulse screw guns, pneumatic or battery operated screwdrivers, drills, reciprocating saws, jig saws, caulking guns, other common hand tools and measuring instruments
    • Use of machine tools such as drill presses, vertical and horizontal band saws, circular saws, pipe cutters/threaders, reciprocating saws, metal shears, press breaks, arc welders, etc.
    • Use of material handling equipment such as bridge and jib cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
    • Adhesives, sealants, paints, fiberglass insulation, gaskets, and other materials.
  • Read and follow assembly specifications, bills of material and drawing sets, and identify discrepancies
  • Assemble parts according to print including fitment, alignment and adjustment. Ensuring mechanisms are free from binding or interference and function properly, and diagnosis and repair of improper mechanical assembly or operation.

Perform assembly work in a safe and efficient manner, while insuring the work area is clean and orderly throughout the process.

  • Work in other areas of the shop as may be required.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts such as 5S and waste elimination.

Electrical Assembly $12.54

  • Layout and construct various electrical and electromechanical assemblies with minimal supervision, according to schematic diagrams, specifications, and applicable regulatory codes.

    Tools used could include:

    • Wire cutting and stripping tools, multi-meters, dielectric strength/insulation resistance (hi-potential) testers, and other items common to the electrical trades.
    • Use of machine tools such as drill presses, vertical and horizontal band saws, circular saws, pipe cutters/threaders, reciprocating saws, metal shears, press breaks, etc.
    • Use of various pneumatic tools including ergo pulse tools, screw guns, drills, rivet gun, etc.
    • Use of material handling equipment such as bridge and jib cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
    • Adhesives, sealants, paints, fiberglass insulation, gaskets, and other materials.
  • Read and follow assembly specifications, bills of material and drawing sets, and identify discrepancies
  • Assemble and wire parts according to wiring schematic diagrams, component layout, other engineering specifications and applicable regulatory codes.

Perform assembly work in a safe and efficient manner, while insuring the work area is clean and orderly throughout the process.

  • Work in other areas of the shop as may be required.
